The holidays are a great time to do some extra marketing. This time of year you have a chance to do some different things with your marketing. It always nice to add a little holiday flair to your marketing plan. Holiday and New Year greeting cards are always a good way to attract interest in your services. Add a personal note to show that you are taking the time out of your day to give them something thoughtful.
For those potential clients who you have never contacted, get the names of the potential clients and send a greeting card with a short note telling them who you are and what you do. If you cannot find a name to send to, call ahead to double check. It is always good practice to call before sending something to ensure that the address and contact name is correct. Also let them know in the greeting card that you will be sending a marketing packet to inform them about your services and what you can help them with. This lets them know to keep an eye out for the information you are sending. Send the marketing packet the day after you send the greeting card.
If you have already sent out an initial marketing package to a potential client, a holiday greeting card is a good way to follow up. It reminds those potential clients who you are and what you have to offer them.
For those clients who you have already worked with, the greeting cards are great to remind them that you are still available for other cases. A small gift is also good for those clients you work with often.
The greeting card is just another different way to market. It is always benefitial to vary the methods you use in your marketing. Remember, variety is good.
