attorney in other ways. Keep communication open and let them know who you are so
that you will stay fresh in their minds when they receive a case needing your

Custom newsletters are another way of getting
into their office without a hard sell. Each newsletter should be one page. In
this case, the front and back may be used. Design and content should be
original. Use color and add your picture to spice things up. This lets them put
a face to your name while at the same time making it attractive to keep their
attention.
RN MARKET provides content and design. We
will print 250 newsletters with content on front and back including your picture
or any comments or additions that you would like to include. It is custom made
for you. We will also include 250 large labels and 250 large envelopes making
the newsletters ready to mail just add a stamp, address and mail them.
The price is $310.00 for 250 newsletter
packages which you can distribute throughout your state. It will cost $50.00 per
each additional state you would like to distribute your newsletter to. If you
would like nationwide distribution, the cost is a flat $200.00 extra
dollars.

Planning Your Successful Business
Time, money, and a plan are essential for any
business to be successful. What you decide to spend your time and money on
should be accomplished using a personalized marketing plan. You do not have to
do all the work yourself. Focus your time on building your business. While
hiring other professionals to help you reach your goals. You should not pay high
prices to have a quality work product that meets your needs. You want to make
sure that the product or service that you do purchase will help you to achieve
your objective in planning your successful business.
Step
One: Intro & Services
There
are steps to marketing success as a Legal Nurse Consultant. We have assisted
nurses using these steps to start their business or update their image and
watched them acquire cases.
First,
you need to have an image for your business. Marketing materials can be made to
match your image where needed. We have found that the best way to market is by
direct mail, networking, a Web site and referrals. Our modernized marketing
method has been put to the test and proven to work.
The
RN MARKET Super Special is what we recommend you to purchase to start your
business. It comes with a large label to be placed on a large envelope with what
we call an “intro” page listing your mission statement, areas of practice,
guarantee, and something about you and your company. The intro page can take the
place of a letter of introduction. It also contains a services page that
includes a listing of services you are offering to the attorney. The services
page can take the place of the brochure in your marketing packet. Place these in
the large envelope, with the large label and mail. Follow-up with a phone call
to get your interview and you are ready for Step Two.
Step
Two: Fee Schedule & CV
Once
you have your intro and services sent out and your interview date and time, you
will need to be prepared to go on the interview. You need to get an updated CV
and a Fee Schedule so that you can hand these items to the attorney when you
meet in person. Bring additional copies of your intro and services in case there
are other attorneys who did not get your marketing packet. You might also be
asked to produce a sample of your work product such as a Sample Chronology or a
timeline.
Remember,
these items need to be printed with a laser printer. Most of the ink jet
printers that are on the market today, have ink that smears or bleeds when it is
mailed or used for your marketing packets. It looks unprofessional and may cost
you a case. This is where you may want to hire a professional. Be sure to also
place these items on high-quality paper for a better look and have them match
your image.
Step
Three: Web Site
Your
marketing packet is ready to mail. Purchasing a Web site either at this time or
after your first case is an important part of increasing your credibility and
another way to market the services that your company offers. It can also provide
attorneys with information about you. Web sites can range in prices. You do not
need a Web site that costs thousands. You are not trying to market products on
the Web; you are trying to project an image of your company. We suggest RN

Work Product
In
our experience, one of the most difficult tasks the new LNC faces is the task of
preparing examples of sample work product to give to prospective clients. When
the attorney asks for a sample of your work product, you do not need to show
them an entire case worked up. You just need to show them about two pages of
what your work may look like. One page will not show them enough of your work
and more than two pages is too much for a busy attorney to review. If the sample
is too long, the attorney may not look at it.
There are
many types of work products and styles that you can show an attorney. You may
have a sample chronology, a timeline, or a letter regarding the merit of a case.
The work products may be with or without comments. Any of these are useful when
trying to sell your services to the attorney. They give the attorney a general
idea of what you do and how you do it.
Half of
the nurses that have purchased items from us have sent in their own sample work
products and half have purchased samples from us to use. The sample chronology
is the most popular form of work product used for LNC marketing packets. It
gives a brief scenario with comments and has a final outcome.
We offer
many sample work products to choose from and we do not offer the same work
product to two different LNCs in the same state. Be careful not to use a work
product that someone else wrote that may be seen again by the same attorney. Be
careful not to take any work products off of the Internet that are someone
else’s work. Either purchase a sample work product or write one yourself and
have it reviewed. We review and change any wording that we feel needs altering
when we review materials from others.
