DOMAIN NAME SECRETS

Most people when purchasing names buy a .com domain name which is the most common, however, you should not stop there. Buying other domains and redirecting them to your site is another way of driving traffic to your site. Many of your clients may end up inserting your name incorrectly when they are trying to get to your site. They may forget to insert a period in between the www and the domain when they type your address into their browser. Many other businesses purchase famous names with www in front of them to drive traffic to their sites cheaply.

For instance, www.RNMARKET.com is our domain. If someone typed into their browser wwwRNMARKET.com, they will be typing it in incorrectly and will not reach our site, they will reach www.wwwRNMARKET.com. However, RN MARKET has just purchased this domain name and will now be receiving all visitors that type it incorrectly. Try some famous names and see what you come up with.  

Another name to purchase when directing traffic to your site would be your own name .com. When others look you up on Google for a search or to find out about you, they can be directed straight to your site. If they forget what your business is called, all they have to do is remember your name and that will get them to your business Web site.

Another way of directing traffic to your site is a sneaky way. Purchase names that are similar to yours or that describe what some of your services are. Such as TestifyingExpert.com. Of course, someone has already thought of that one but there are others that can help boost your business. 

Once you purchase these names, remember, you will need to set them up to direct the traffic to your site so that when they put in the domain name that you purchased, it actually takes them to your site.

These tips will hopefully help you to increase traffic to your Web site.

 

How I made money reading the LNC Resource Newspaper

I had just gotten my LNC Resource newspaper in the mail and decided to bring it to the hearing that I would be attending that day. I knew that the attorney planned on "invoking the rule". What that means is that I would not be allowed in the courtroom for any testimony except mine. All of the witnesses are held outside of the courtroom until called upon. They are not allowed to talk with each other regarding the case. That left me with nothing much to do except...read the paper. 

I pulled the paper out and started reading while I was getting paid my fees as a testifying expert. It was great because the judge kept getting interrupted throughout the hearing by her superiors on an important matter. During my testimony, she had to take a phone call and I finished the paper at that time...under oath...and then I resumed my testimony. I could not believe that while I was reading the paper, I was getting paid. WOW, did I enjoy that paper! Thanks LNC Resource for giving me something constructive to do while getting paid.

SAMPLE CHRONOLOGY

Many Legal Nurse Consultants have called or emailed me regarding Sample Chronologies. They are having trouble getting one started and are not sure what type of sample work product will impress the attorneys.

RESULTS FROM THE SUPER SPECIAL

RN MARKET has been selling the Super Special since May of 2003. We have heard from many of our customers who have purchased the Super Special and we are happy to say that it works if done properly. Congratulations to those who are in business and have reached their success as Legal Nurse Consultants!! 

Sending out only 20 marketing packets will not get you there, however, it did work for one of the LNC's who purchased the Super Special. She sent it out to 20 prospects and was following up when she received a phone call from an attorney and BAM! she had her first case. Another LNC received a phone call from an attorney who gave her two cases and she called Veronica up and told her off, (she didn't think it would work so quickly). 

You will have better luck if you send out at least 50-100 or 150-250 marketing packets in total. It is almost impossible not to get some work from it. (I say luck because their are many variables that will help you to have better timing when trying to get business from attorneys). 

1. Send the marketing packets out on a Saturday so that the attorneys will receive it on a Monday or Tuesday.

2. Call on the Friday before you send the marketing packet out and ask who it should be addressed to and confirm the spelling of the names, address and phone number.

3. Follow-up by calling the person who you sent the packet to and try to catch them when you think they will be in.

4. Call either early in the morning before 9:00am or call around 5:00pm. There is a better chance to reach the attorney directly in a smaller office, sometimes there is no gatekeeper or the gatekeeper may not be in yet and the attorney may answer his or her own phone.

5. If you don't get the attorney, show up with a marketing packet and deliver it in person or send it with a care package of cookies or goodies that you know they will like.

6. Send out another marketing packet if you have no response from the first one or send out other marketing materials such as a post card, a tri-fold brochure, or a newsletter. Keep the information coming into their office.

7. Hope that they have just acquired a medically related case prior to receiving your marketing packet and when they receive your packet, they jump for joy that they have found a Legal Nurse Consultant to help them on the case.

The Super Special has worked for many others who have given us feedback. Those who it hasn't worked for have been those that have either not sent them out or did not follow up. 

TIME FOR TRI-FOLDS

RN MARKET has made Legal Nurse Consulting a successful business for LNC's who have purchased the Super Special marketing packets. They have proven to be effective and the feedback has been great. 

RN MARKET has also developed another form of advertising that has become highly popular. It is what we call the "Fancy Tri-Fold". It is a tri-fold that is printed on business card stock linen paper and is scored and folded accordion style which makes it look more attractive. It is printed with black ink and your logo design may be placed on it. It is short, sweet and to the point. Now here is the best thing about the tri-fold. It is placed in a "wedding style" envelope which makes it look like a wedding invitation. 

On the outside of the envelope you can either have your return address printed on it or better yet, here comes the tricky part that works, you can hand write the address on the outside and place a stamp. Guess what it looks like? Yes, a wedding invitation. And...guess who it gets past? Your right, the gatekeeper!! 

If it is addressed to the attorney and is in a crème or white thick linen envelope and is the size of a wedding invitation, then hopefully the secretary will not open it and the attorney will. Since it looks important, the attorney usually opens it up and with the layout of the accordion style tri-fold, the attorney has no choice but to read it. If tricky works, you got to go for it!!

Web Site Feedback

We have had some nurses who purchased Web sites from RN MARKET and have given us some feedback on their sites.

 www.NYNurseStaffing.com has been very successful with staffing  facilities. They are located in New York City where the competition is fierce. They have purchased three times from RN MARKET and have been satisfied with the results. You can contact the Director at the Web site above if you would like to know more about NY Nurse Staffing.

Some of the other nurses who have purchased Web sites have renewed to get a second year with RN MARKET before their first year was even up. I have also noticed when looking at the stats that the Web sites that are listed under the "Testimonials" pages on RN MARKET's site have had many hits. 

Other nurses have told us that they have been contacted by attorneys for case reviews or testifying work from their Web sites. 

 Contest Information

Contest information: Go to RN MARKET's Web site if you are a Legal Nurse Consultant. The "case-contest" on-line is still on. We are giving away a gift certificate for marketing materials from RN MARKET. We will continue to add prizes until we come up with a winner. Submit your answers to RN MARKET via email. The answers don't need to be extensive to win. One or two pages will do the trick. We are looking to have a few more entries than we have received so far. We will let the word get around. Send in whatever information that you want pertaining to the case on the Web site. Even if you are not a Legal Nurse Consultant and want to try to answer any of the questions that are asked for the contest, send it in. It doesn't need to be perfect. It only needs to be what you as a nurse know or find out through researching the subject. See if you are a natural. The case for the contest is listed in full details but the prizes will keep increasing until we find our winner!!
