Annual Convention for the National Nurses in Business Association The NNBA is holding their Annual Conference in Houston, Texas this year on September 9-10, 2003. It is a two-day nurse entrepreneur conference in lecture format. Topics cover the basics of startup and growth of a small business including independent contracting, consulting, and staffing services. There will be a 4-hour Writing Non-fiction Workshop by Dan Poynter addressing how to write and sell a book. FREE Networking Session for nurses interested in entrepreneurship on Monday evening of the conference, September 8, 2003, 7-9 p.m. in the hotel lobby. How to
Include a Sample Chronology in Your Marketing Packet
Recently, we have had a lot of Legal Nurse Consultants ask about including chronologies in their marketing packets. And here is our answer... Yes, you can include them in your packet if you would like to have an example of your work. It adds to the professionalism of the materials. If you are on a budget, it is O.K. to include your services and letter of introduction along with your business card (Super Special $287.99 plus $49.00 for business cards). In a later mailing, or if asked, you can produce samples of your work. We have a sample chronology that Kimberly Rogers, RN, BSN, CLNC, from Rogers & Associates, sent to us via email. We put it on letterhead that we made for her and included graphics to enhance the look of the chronology. You can view the sample (words only) at our Web site at RNMARKET.COM. The price of a two page chronology to receive 250 copies with color graphics on specialty paper and specialty letterhead is $189.00. How to
Multiple Market
Multiple Marketing can be beneficial and is a great way to sell a product or service. In order for potential clients to be interested in what you have to offer, you need to show what you have to offer to them numerous times. Sometimes, the potential client may overlook what you have sent them or throw it away when they meant to keep it. Maybe they thought they didn't need a Legal Nurse Consultant and then from out of the blue they receive the case of the century and they need your help. How do they find you again? How do they know you even exist? You need to get your name out there again and again and again...repetition. How do you get your name out there? You can send an initial marketing packet with your services, intro page, and business cards. (Helpful hint, send it in a large envelop with a label on it. They are more likely to open it...it's a big package!) Then, you can send a brochure, flyer, or tri-fold. You may want to have a monthly newsletter that provides them with helpful information that they may look forward to reading. You can send a post card with your guarantee on it, introducing your business, or introducing your specials. Sometimes it takes a potential client months before they decide to use your services. If you Multiple Market, you have a better chance of being the one that is hired for the job when they make their decision.

What I get told many times after my clients receive their items is, "I can't believe every Legal Nurse Consultant isn't buying your products?"
